BIOGRAPHIES
Elizabeth A. Welch, MD
Dr. Welch graduated with a
B.A. in Psychology from New York University. She received her M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After two years of internal medicine training at Brown University she entered the Dermatology Fellowship program
also at Brown University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology having received the American Board of Dermatology certification in 1981. Dr. Welch is the Chief of Dermatology for Landmark Medical Center and on the Active Staff of The Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and The Roger Williams Medical Center and is a consultant to The Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island. As an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology at Brown University Medical School she is active in the teaching of dermatology residents and as a mentor to female medical students. Dr. Welch is a founding member of the RI Medical Women's Association, the Dermatology Representative to the Council of the RI Medical Society, member of the RI Dermatology Society and the New England Dermatology Society. Dr. Welch is particularly interested in sclerotherapy, microdermabrasion, and laser therapy for the
cosmetic patient.
Stephen E. Glinick, MD
Dr. Glinick graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowdoin College and received his M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After three years of internal medicine training at Brown University, he passed the certifying exam for The American Board in Internal Medicine.
He also trained in dermatology at Brown University, and was awarded his boards in dermatology. Dr. Glinick founded and still serves as the Director of the Dermatologic Surgery Clinic at The Providence Veterans Medical Center. An Associate Professor in Clinical Dermatology at Brown University, he is an active staff member at The Rhode Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, The Roger Williams Medical Center, The Landmark Medical Center and a consultant to The Rehabilitation Hospital of RI. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and member of The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The RI Medical Society, The New England
Dermatology Society, Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Glinick received the 1998 "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Brown University Program in Dermatology.
